Answering service for plumbers and home services

Plumber answering service questions, answered plainly

What home service companies ask before they put the agent on their line.

What happens with an emergency call?

Calls you define as urgent (active water, no water, sewage, gas smell, no heat) are transferred live to your phone or the tech on call. A caller who describes danger to a person is told to call 911. Everything else gets a promised callback and an alert.

Will it quote prices?

Only what you have approved. It can state a trip charge or a service call fee from your information if you want it to, and takes everything else as an estimate request.

Can it book the job into my calendar?

It takes the job details and the best time, and alerts you within seconds. Where your dispatch or scheduling system is connected, the job lands there; otherwise you book it from the alert.

Does it know my service area?

Yes. It answers from your own information: towns you cover, hours, services, what you do not do. A caller outside your area is told so politely and still logged.

How does it reach me on a job?

By text and email within seconds of the call, with the caller, the job and the transcript. Emergencies ring your phone live.

Does it use our existing phone number?

Yes. Your phone system forwards unanswered or after-hours calls to Workup Agent's number, so nothing changes for callers or for your team when they do pick up. Or we provision a number that Workup Agent answers first.

What happens when a caller wants to talk to a person?

It explains that the team is on other calls or away, finds out who they wanted and what it is about, takes the best number and time for a callback and reads the number back. Only matters you define as urgent are transferred live to a phone you choose. Every call is logged and your team is alerted.

How is it priced compared with an answering service?

Answering services are usually sold per minute or per call, in blocks, with a premium for nights and weekends. Workup Agent is quoted as a flat monthly plan rather than per call or per minute, so the cost does not rise with a busy month. Ask for the current plans on the walkthrough.

Can I hear it before committing to anything?

Yes. Call Pandoodle, our own AI receptionist, on (609) 834-3127, text it on (609) 945-6884, or call the Micronetbd office on (609) 435-1960 and let it ring past four rings. The same agent, with your name and your rules, is what goes on your line.

Put an answering service on your line before the next busy week

Thirty minutes on a call. Bring your service area, your hours and what counts as an emergency, and we will show you the call and the text you receive.
